How to check Google Meet permissions for Camera & Microphone
If you are using a Chromebook for your Google Meet video chats and are having issues with the Camera/Microphone working properly, then follow these steps to resolve your issue
1. Open the Google Meet app from your Chrome browser
2. Select the gear icon from the top right and go into the settings menu
3. Make sure the microphone is set to “Default - Internal Mic” and can see activity when you speak
4. Make sure the camera is set to “Front Camera”
5. Google Meet should now work with access to your Camera and Microphone
6. If you are still not able to use your Camera and Microphone, then check these other settings as well (see below)
Check your permissions in the Chrome browser settings
1. Select the three dots in the right-hand side to access the drop-down menu
2. Select “Privacy and security” from the left-hand side
3. Select “Site Settings”
4. Select “meet.google.com”
5. Make sure that the Camera and Microphone are set to “Allow”
